Stockport Sports Trust is keen to support local clubs who have either achieved Clubmark or are actively working towards accreditation.  Over the coming 12 months we shall develop and launch a benefits package for such clubs.  In addition we shall support clubs with their application process, where appropriate.

What is Clubmark?

It is the only national quality accreditation scheme for sports clubs with junior sections.  Built around a set of core criteria, it ensures that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating standards, ensuring that young people receive a good quality experience.

Clubmark is endorsed by all the main sporting, youth and education agencies involved in the co-ordination, direction and delivery of sportiing opportunities for young people.

How can my Club apply for accreditation?

A club can be accredited via either it's licensed National Governing Body (NGB) or County Sports Partnership (www.greatersport.co.uk/clubs/club-development-information).  In order to apply for accreditation your club must be affiliated to the relevant Sport England recognised NGB.

For more information about Clubmark please visit www.clubmark.org.uk or contact a member of the Target Sports Team who will be able to advise your club on the acceditation process.

To download a resource pack or templates required to work towards accreditation please visit www.clubmark.org.uk/resources/downloads.

Target Sports have devised an additional set of templates which may be useful to add to your application.  Please click on the relevant links below.

In partnership with Sport Stockport, Stockport Sports Trust aim to improve links, whilst promoting club sports of all kinds to the Community of Stockport. In order to achieve this we shall need to develop an all inclusive database of sports clubs as well as current accreditation status.  To have your club listed please click on Sport Stockport's web page above or complete the attached form and email it to info@stockportsportstrust.org.uk
